Child-Only Reach Up

Monthly cash assistance may be available to help you  meet the basic needs of the children in your care. Any child  support you get for the child will go to ESD to offset the cost of  public assistance.

Children eligible for a Child-Only Reach Up grant are:

  • Under 18

  • Not in foster care

  • Not getting SSI

  • With little or no income of their own

  • Living with and being cared for by someone other than a biological, step or adoptive parent. This includes:

    – Relatives (e.g., grandparents and older siblings)

    – Non-related adults who have a family-like bond with the children or parents
